Hello friends! I am Louise Faras-Dorst. Thank you for visiting our website. Classic Gathering is the culmination of decades of world travel and wonderful life experiences in the food and service industry. I hale from New Zealand and Australia. I journeyed to America decades ago where I opened and operated bars in the Big Easy, with enormous success and wonderful times. Still a huge fan of New Orleans!
Hurricane Katrina created some challenges and in the wake of the storm I found myself in another place I have since grown to love, Sarasota and the surrounding areas. Having been in the food and service industry in New Orleans for a significant amount of time, my experiences and expertise easily led me into the catering arena here.
Having been highly successful here in Sarasota, I decided to bring my unique talents and experiences to everyone by opening a small event high end Hors d’oeuvres catering company. The numerous events I have planned, organized, and executed here, after making the Sun Coast my home, have led to many wonderful events and enjoyable relationships! Our mission and goals are to provide you with an elegant, and enjoyable catering experience. We offer uniquely delicious food, along with service second to none!
